Community Involvement

As a not for profit members based club, South Melbourne FC plays an active role in supporting and liaising with various local, state and national community-based organisations.

A few of these events and organisations are below:

Epworth HealthCare 

Epworth HealthCare at BJS

SMFC has a long-standing relationship with Epworth HealthCare and in conjunction with Victoria Police Soccer Club, holds a Family Day at Bob Jane Stadium to assist the Epworth Hospital Paediatric Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Unit each year.

Victoria Police Soccer ClubSMFC has a long and proud history of working productively with the Victorian Police and as such continues to support the Victoria Police Soccer Team.

 

 

 

Clinics

Clinics at BJSSouth conducts a number of clinics for various school and sporting groups

 

 

 

Kabaddi

Kabaddi at Bob Jane StadiumSMFC supports diversity of codes and community groups, and was the site of a recent Indian community festival where the unique sport of Kabaddi was staged.

 

 

 

Socceroos Training

Socceroos Training at BJSBJS has been the preferred Melbourne training base for the Socceroos preparation before important fixtures

 

 

 

FFV Finals

VPL Grand Final 2006In recent years BJS has staged a number of FFV finals and consecutive grand finals for the Victoria Premier League competition.

 

 

 

Central Zone FC

Central Zone Summer LeagueBJS is the recognised home of the FFV’s Summer League initiative club representing the central zone.

 

 

 

Greek National Team Training

Greece at Bob Jane StadiumSMFC was the official training base for the Greek NT when it visited Melbourne and played Australia in the MCG.
