 A Tony Sterjovski strike in the 84th minute has seen Preston overcome all odds to defeat South Melbourne by two goals to one at Bob Jane Stadium on Sunday.
In what was a critical contest for both iconic clubs, South went into the game requiring a victory to keep in touch with the top six.

South fans flock to Canberra

 Last weekend about 60 supporters made the trip up to Canberra to cheer on South against the AIS. While about 30 either drove themselves or flew up, about 30 fans clambered onto a hired coach for the eight hour overnight journey to the capital for South's first interstate game in four years.
