South Melbourne is pleased to announce that it has clarified with FFV today that Kliment Taseski was eligible to play against Richmond Eagles last Saturday.
As a result, the 3 Championship points which had been deducted by FFV have now been reinstated.
SMFC would like to thank FFV for its cooperation in rectifying the matter in a timely manner.
SMFC had properly extended the loan agreement with Melbourne Heart enabling Kliment Taseski to play last week.
The club understands that FFV were unaware of the extension and as a result, concluded that the club played an ineligible player triggering an automatic penalty.
