Tangalakis joins SMFC coaching staff

South Melbourne FC would like to announce Con Tangalakis has joined the senior coaching staff for the remainder of the 2018 NPL Victoria season.

Tangalakis will be well known to fans of Victorian football, having previously coached the Oakleigh Cannons for 3 seasons, including taking them to the Grand Final of the 2016 NPL Victoria season.

In 2014, he was part of the coaching staff that lead state league side South Springvale Aris to their fabled FFA Cup run, eventually losing to Palm Beach FC in the round of 16.

Con has amassed a wealth of football knowledge in his coaching career, including playing stints at Port Melbourne FC and Oakleigh.

Speaking to smfc.com.au, SMFC football director Nick Maikousis welcomed the new addition to our coaching staff. “We’d like to welcome Con to the club – and look forward to him working with Sasa Kolman for the remainder of the season. Con has a wealth of experience in Victorian Football, and will be a valuable asset to the changeroom”

We would like to welcome Con to the SMFC family and wish him all the best for the remainder of the season in his new role.
