In South Melbourne’s 3 – 0 trouncing of the Football Kingz at Bob Jane Stadium today, the Blue and Whites won their sixth home match in a row, scored their 1200th NSL goal and Paul Trimboli continued to show why he is still regarded as one of the National Soccer League’s most influential players.
Trimboli scored twice in the 30th and 62nd minute while Susa, playing his first match at home, opened the scoring in the 22nd minute.
Rookie Goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic, made a double save after saving a penalty and then clutching onto the rebound.
South now sit in outright third position at the half way mark of the season.
