South Melbourne has actively continued to bolster its lineup for the 2008 Foxtel Cup season by re-signing two key players in Nathan Caldwell and Bill Natsioulas.
Natsioulas has worked hard over his last three years at South Melbourne, battling niggling – and at times quite serious – injuries to stake a claim as one of the most important players in the South squad.
At 23, fan favourite “Nats” is poised to take the next step in his football and the club is confident that with his drive, hunger and creativity in the middle of the park, Billy can excel in Season 2008 as he has done previously.
The other key re-signing at the club is striker Nathan Caldwell. The former Melbourne Knights front man has committed to a second year at South Melbourne, following a debut season that saw him score on seven occasions, as well as come second in the SMFC 2007 Best and Fairest.
With some exciting talent coming into the squad for season 2008, Nathan is also poised to be a key player in the new season, providing his coach and team with an experienced target man and goal scorer.
SMFC wishes both players all the best for season ahead and hopes that they can continue to wear the famous South Melbourne shirt with pride for the course of the 2008 Foxtel Cup Season.
