In some exicitng news for the South Melbourne Junior Football Club, the FFA have announced their squad for the Qantas Australian Boys Under 13 team.
The squad consists of three current SMFC Junior players, with Dimitar Mitkov, Milos Ridesic and Lewis Smirlis all being selected. By being selected, our club have the most representatives in the side of any Victorian club.
On top of this exciting news, six South Melbourne players were selected in the Victorian State Under 13 boys Team that competed in the National Junior Championships in Canberra last week:
They include Dimitar Markov, James Vafiadis, Stefan Zinni, Ajdin Hrustic, Milos Ridesic and Lewis Smirlis.
The team performed well and the six boys all contributed to the great football that was played, whilst being able to achieve second spot for the tournament.
We’d like to congratulate the boys for their great performance during the tournament and making South Melbourne FC proud.
We wish them all the very best in their future football careers.
