South Melbourne FC is excited to announce that Tyson Holmes has signed with the club for the 2013 Victorian Premier League season.
Whilst the name is unfamiliar in Victoria, the attacking midfielder has made his mark throughout Queensland, dominating the local scene over the past few years, whilst captaining the Sunshine Coast Fire.
In his time with the Fire, Holmes has managed to lead the club to 3 Championships and 2 Premierships and ensuring that the club were one of the most dominant teams in the state.
On a personal note, Holmes has managed to win the QSL Golden Boot Award in 2011, as well as being awarded as the QSL MVP on two occasions as the best player in the competition.
South fans can expect to see Tyson provide that link between the middle third and our very potent attacking force, where his work ethic, pace and football smarts will hopefully allow him to excel in this role.
We welcome Tyson to the club and wish him the very best for the 2013 season and beyond.
