    Coming off a 2-0 loss to Pascoe Vale and playing their fourth game in 12 days, South Melbourne were unable to bounce back, suffering a 2-0 defeat to Avondale in the catch up game last Wednesday night. Now with back-to-back losses in the NPL competition, South will be striving for maximum points against the Bentleigh Greens at home on Sunday afternoon to stay in touch with ladder leaders Heidelberg United.

    Coming off a 3-1 win over Avondale FC, the Bentleigh Greens were unable to continue on their winning ways after a 4-2 defeat to Heidelberg United last weekend. Currently in third position courtesy of goal difference, the Bentleigh Greens will be looking to overtake South Melbourne on the NPL ladder with three points against the defending champions away from home.
