South Melbourne FC is pleased to announce our first signing of the 2018 NPL Victoria season, capturing Jake Marshall from Brisbane Strikers for the next two seasons.
Marshall is a highly regarded central defender who had a superb 2017 season with the Strikers, playing a pivotal role in the former National League club winning the Minor Premiership.
The 19 Year old Queenslander has made his mark throughout two seasons of senior football, through both his ability in the air and on the ground being showcased in the league and FFA Cup, where he was impressive in the 2016 clash against Hyundai A-League side Melbourne City.
Speaking to smfc.com.au, SMFC Football Director Nicholas Maikousis was pleased with the acquisition of Marshall. “Jake is a highly regarded young defender who we look forward to joining our defence for the upcoming season. His season at Brisbane was outstanding and we hope he can continue that form in blue in 2018.
We wish Jake all the best for his time at Lakeside.
