Kat Goff joins South for 2020

South Melbourne FC is delighted to confirm that Katherine Goff has joined the club for the 2020 NPLW Victoria season.

Kat joins the club from a successful 2019 season at Alamein, with the winger returning to the club that she called home during the 2015 WPL season. In 27 matches this season, Kat scored on 8 occasions and was responsible for a dozen assists of her own.

Most recently, Kat’s outstanding form saw her selected for the Melbourne City squad for the 2019/20 W-League season.

Speaking to smfc.com.au, Senior Coach Samuel Young was excited to bring Kat on board for 2020. “Kat is one the most exciting players to watch in NPLW. Her development from playing state league football to earning herself a W-League position shows how driven and determined she is to succeed. No player in the country can match her speed and explosive pace and we are delighted she has chosen South Melbourne FC to continue her journey to the top.”

Goff was equally excited to be re-joining the club. “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to play under Sam and alongside such a talented and professional group of women. I knew that I wanted to be challenged in 2020, and I’m excited to continue kicking goals at South Melbourne.” We look forward to seeing Kat link up with the squad in January as we prepare for the 2020 season.
