South Melbourne was held to a one-all draw in their first home match of the season this evening.
South Melbourne began the match the stronger and was rewarded in the 24th minute with a goal through Vaughan Coveny. The Lakesiders pressed for a winner after Sydney United had equalised but were unable to find the elusive goal.
