Former South Melbourne player Michael Theoklitos has capped off a stellar 2007/08 season in the A-League by taking out the prestigious goalkeeper of the year award.
Theoklitos was at South for three seasons and in his time with the club he showed the signs of someone that was going to stand out at national and international level as he gained more experience.
He joins former South Melbourne player Michael Petkovic to win such an honour, with the team of the century goalkeeper winning the award on three ocassions.
We wish Michael all the best for the rest of his career and look forward to seeing him wearing the Green and Gold of Australia on the world stage in the near future.
