Key South Melbourne midfielder Yusuf Yusuf has suffered a knee injury and is likely to miss the remainder of the 2008 Foxtel Cup season.
Yusuf went down clutching his knee only moments after he was substituted onto the park in the round 4 clash against Oakleigh.
A collision of legs saw the young midfielder in immediate and immense pain.
Recent scans have shown that Yusuf has injured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament and that he will require a knee reconstruction to rectify this problem.
The club wishes Yusuf all the best during this tough time for him and hopes that he can get back onto the park in the not too distant future.
