South Melbourne FC wishes to advise that Marinos Gasparis and Phil Petreski have departed the Club.
Marinos Gasparis joined South Melbourne in 2010 and was at the Club for three and a half seasons. He played 68 Victorian Premier League matches and scored eight goals. He also featured in four FFV State Knockout Cup games as well as four Singapore Cup matches, giving him an overall record of 76 games and eight goals for the Club. After being advised by Head Coach Chris Taylor that he could not be guaranteed first team football for the rest of the season, Gasparis decided to join league leaders Northcote City.
Phil Petreski was one of South’s Under-21s players elevated to senior football by former Head Coach Peter Tsolakis in 2012. He played 10 matches for the Club as well as one State Knockout Cup game. Phil is currently training with Melbourne Heart in the A League.
South Melbourne FC thanks both Marinos Gasparis and Phil Petreski for their services to the Club, and wishes them the very best in their future endeavours.
