SMFC Corporate Coterie member George Metax from Barry Plant Preston was the guest auctioneer which saw many great items auctioned off and raise much needed funds for further research into MS.
The condition MS is a progressive disease of the nervous system, for which there is no cure. Approximately one in twenty Australians will be touched by MS through a family member, colleague or friend with the disease. An estimated 23,000 people in Australia have MS, with 1,000 Australians are diagnosed with MS every year.
Speaking to smfc.com.au, SMFC General Manager Peter Kokotis said “South Melbourne FC was very proud to support a great South sponsor in Jim Rigogianis (JR Training ) and his worthy cause raising funds for the MS Foundation. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and it once again drives home what special people we have in the South family and the work they do in the community. ”
