South Melbourne is in good form at the moment with four wins in their past five matches. Coming off a narrow 1-0 victory over the Oakleigh Cannons, the boys were unable to continue on their winning ways after a 2-1 loss to Green Gully courtesy of a Jonathan Bounas winner in the 45th minute. Now in second position after Heidelberg’s emphatic 4-0 win last weekend against the Warriors, South will be looking to put pressure on Heidelberg on top of the table, with three points against the Warriors on Saturday afternoon.
