Pat Langlois joins SMFC for 2022 season
South Melbourne FC is thrilled to announce that it has signed central midfielder Pat Langlois for the 2022 NPL Victoria season.
Langlois joins us from NPL club Hume City, where he featured in all of the matches during an impressive 2021 season.
The 22-year-old was born in San Diego, before arriving in Australia and embarking on a youth team career through the Newcastle Jets Academy. Hard work paid off for Pat as he was selected in 2018 as part of the Jets A-League squad, featured in numerous senior team matches.
Langlois provides coach Quintas with a hardworking and tough midfield option, who is extremely composed on the ball. As well as his work as a defensive midfielder, Langlois can also play throughout central midfield or across the back four.
Speaking to smfc.com.au, SMFC Senior Football Director Andrew Mesourouni welcomed Patrick to the club. “We are excited to welcome someone of Patrick’s quality to the club for the upcoming season. He comes to the club having had experience at the top level and a fantastic season with Hume in the NPL. He is tough, loves to get stuck in and calm on the ball. We look forward to seeing him in action over the pre-season.”
We welcome Patrick to Lakeside.
